Sukuta Wannsee Basic Cycle is a center of learning dedicated to excellence.
We help our students master good learning habits, practise skills to cooperate actively in education, plan and effectively use time for studying and solving tasks. The overall emphasis is on academic excellence through self-motivated and interactive learning. In addition to academic studies, our students can immerse themselves in a wide range of sporting activities, where teamwork and leadership are actively encouraged.
Our school conducts annual sport day (Interhouse). This helps children to develop their social skills and set them up for positive relationship building for life. Through sports, children get the chance to show leadership, teamwork and communication skills, as they interact with new people and face new challenges. We strongly believe that through sports, children learn to boost their skills such as teamwork, leadership, patience, discipline, sportsmanship and learning from failures which molds them into independent and successful adults in their society.
Sukuta Wannsee conducts annual educational excursions or tours under the supervision of the school management and staff. Students are taken to places away from their usual routine environment. The main aim of these trips is to impart knowledge through a hands-on experience. This is one of the ways of making learning more interesting, thereby making studying fascinating and engrossing. It also allows students to appreciate the importance of the socio cultural history of the Gambia as well as grant them the opportunity for tangible historical and cultural resources and artifacts.
Over the years, the school has incrementally registered remarkable progress hence its current enjoyment of an unprecedented reputation and recognition as one of the most disciplined and progressive centres of learning.
